Vintage Friedel Germany Flower Girl Original Figurine - Hand Painted

This rare Friedel figurine features an enchanting depiction of a girl wearing a bonnet, delicately carrying a basket filled with flowers. Notably, this Friedel piece is highly sought after and difficult to find.

Designed by Ami Koestel (1907-1986), a talented artist born on May 27, 1907, in Bayreuth, Germany, this figurine represents her early work during the challenging post-war period. Initially crafting angel figurines for her own enjoyment and occasionally bartering them for essential items like milk and bread, Koestel gained recognition after showcasing her creations at trade fairs in Dornbirn, Austria, in 1952, as well as exhibitions in Nuremberg and Frankfurt.
