Artist Bio:
Born in the Free state 1957 Harrismith
Currently resides near Petrusburg
Theunis stays on a farm 30 kilometers from the closest town and approximately 67 kilometers from Kimberley
Theunis started painting when it became clear that the ANC policies made it impossible to find a job
Currently paintings is his only income
He has not held any exhibits but a local business in Petrusburg expressed the interest in just doing that so he is currently working to get enough paintings to exhibit but it is proving to be more challenging than anticipated as he is becoming a very popular artist and his paintings are selling extremely fast with several patrons buying more than one of his works at a time
His favorite style is working with the palette knife but he is also not a stranger to fine brushwork
Theuinis has sold paintings all over Africa (Mosambique, Zambia, South Africa) United Kingdom and now also Australia.
