The first published volume of Eden's memoirs, covering the post-war period and including his tenure as Prime Minister, most prominently defined by the Suez Crisis. The present copy is inscribed by Eden to Harry Nathan, 1st Baron Nathan (1889-1963), a Liberal and later Labour politician who served as Under-Secretary of State for War and then Minister for Civil Aviation under the Attlee administration of 1945-51.
