The Epson FX-880 dot-matrix printer is ideal for printing forms or invoices, especially if you're working with multiple sheets. It has two high speed drafts, 455 cps and 410 cps and prints at a normal draft speed of 310 cps. Near-letter quality is 77 cps. The FX-880 can handle forms of six parts (five copy sheets plus the original). The printer is a 9-Pin Dot Matrix Printer and also has narrow and wide carriage printing with a zero tear-off paper feature, for less waste. The print-head life is over 200 million characters at 14 dots per character. The FX-880 has four bit-mapped eight bar code fonts. It includes front, rear, and bottom paper feeds, and can auto load single sheets or print continuously. An extra paper tractor unit is supplied.The FX-880 has a bi-directional parallel standard interface and an input buffer of 32 KB. Included are 2 x drivers’ disks 3.5”, (windows has built-in drivers for all Epson dot-matrix printers) a main User's Guide, a Quick Reference of 12 pages and a print ribbon. A box of continuous paper and printed Orbit Invoice paper is supplied. There is no USB connection and the parallel connection cable between the printer and computer is not supplied. (D-sub, 25pin, male for computer and 36pin Centronics for printer). The printer measures 155mm by 414mm by 351mm, the FX-880 weighs 7.60kgs and fits easily on a desktop.
