This painting by reknown South African artist Giovanni Fasciotti is a stunning seascape and a fine example of his work. Giovanni Fasciotti was the father of well known South African master artist Titta Fasciotti (1927-1993) and was an Italian prisoner of war held in South Africa who subsequently stayed in South Africa after the war.

Many of the influences one finds in a Titta Fasciotti painting are visible in his fathers' work. The painting is in an ornate gold frame and measures: with frame 40cm x 31cm and without frame 26cm x 17cm. 

This is an exquisite piece of original art.  There is some age related wear, however no chipping or peeling.
