"Louise Almon was born in 1958. She trained in the art schools of Rhodes and Cape Town University, where she graduated as a Bachelor of Fine Art in 1981. Almon lived in the Eastern Cape from 1982 to 2000 and honed her skills in the company of George Pemba, with whom she worked with from the mid-eighties till the end of the nineties. Her experience as an artist was further enriched by her involvement as a founder member of the Imvaba Arts Association
