These bulbs are pre-order items and are expected to be dispatched in the last week of August or the first week of September, weather permitting.
Our specialist growers carefully hold back stock until the bulbs have properly cured and are ready for immediate planting to ensure the best results in your garden.
In the unlikely event that a specific variety does not cure properly or is deemed non-viable by the farm, we will refund you for that portion of your order.
If you add pre-order items to your cart, your entire order will be held until those items are ready to ship. To receive in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing two separate orders.

Planting Perfection:
When to Plant: In South Africa, the ideal time to plant your Galtonia candicans
bulbs is during late winter to early spring (July to September), just before the summer growing season truly kicks off.
Light Conditions: These beauties thrive in full sun to partial shade. For the most abundant blooms, aim for at least 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.
Soil Sweet Spot: They prefer well-draining soil. Enrich your soil with plenty of organic matter, like compost, to ensure robust growth. If your soil is heavy clay, consider raising your beds or adding grit to improve drainage.
Watering Wisdom: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during active growth and flowering periods. Once established, they are reasonably drought-tolerant, but regular watering during dry spells will ensure a spectacular display. Avoid waterlogging at all costs!
Feeding: A balanced fertiliser applied in early spring will give your plants a fantastic boost.
After the Bloom: Once the flowers fade, allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This process helps the bulb store energy for next season's magnificent show. You can then carefully lift and store the bulbs in a cool, dry place over winter, or leave them in the ground in warmer climates for a naturalising effect.
Feel the pride of nurturing such a magnificent plant, the joy of a garden filled with life, and the serene satisfaction of creating a beautiful outdoor space that reflects your personal touch.
