Garland Daisy
The Garland Daisy is a leafy herb native to the Mediterranean. This annual plant will do best if planted in full sun or partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil. In warmer conditions the Garland Daisy may flower prematurely. Traditional to Cantonese cuisine, the young leaves and stems of the Garland Daisy are often used in soups and stir-fry.
As healthful as it is pretty, the Garland Daisy has been used in holistic and herbal treatments because it is high in potassium, carotene and vitamins and minerals. While we don’t recommend adding Garland Daisies to your diet, we do recommend adding Garland Daisy seeds to your garden! This vibrant annual will bloom from midsummer to fall and grows 60 to 90cm. To get the most out of your yellow and white beauties, when possible, plant them in sandy soil.
