Garmap has launched the latest version of its Africa Series 2010 3rd Edition mapset, which offers access to useful lifestyle Points of Interest (POIs) across a range of special interest groups, ranging from South African National Parks to urban yoga studios, as well as the latest versions of Garmap Southern Africa Streetmaps, Topo & Rec and DEM maps.
The 2010 3rd Edition map release offers our users the opportunity to explore their surroundings and find new places quickly and easily.
Data Enhancements:
Street-level changes include ongoing construction and modifications to South Africa¿¿¿s roadways, including new interchanges on the major highways and new roads.
New Features:
With the latest upgrade to the Garmap Africa Series 2010, a range of enhanced POIs, can be easily downloaded and installed onto compatible Garmin in-car navigation devices. These enhanced POIs will soon be available on Garmap¿¿¿s mobile application, Garmap for Mobile.
Designed with the likes of tourists, sports fans, wine lovers, sky divers, divers, golfers nature enthusiasts and many more in mind, enhanced POIs can include imagery and a host of useful information, such as opening hours, URL, contact email etc, over and above the physical address and GPS location for selected points of interest.
