Supplied with Garmap Africa Series 2008 Southern Africa Streetmaps you are provided with more than 675,000 km of routable road data across nine different countries (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zambia, Malawi), more than 150,000 points of interest as well as routable roads and tracks for 55 game reserves ands parks in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi. Simply touch the colour screen, key in your destination and nüvi takes you there with turn-by-turn spoken directions, 2-D or 3-D mapping and smooth map refreshing. Digital elevation shows shaded contours for an understanding of the surrounding terrain. In addition, nüvi 205/W accepts custom points of interest such as shopping malls and post offices and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. With HotFix™ satellite prediction, Garmin calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.
’Where Am I?’ gives you details about your location in a flash. Simply tap the car icon for your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, nearest address and directions to the closest hospital, police or petrol station.
