This medal, depicting the voortrekker leader Andries Pretorius on the obverse, was probably issued in 1938 to raise funds for the building of the Gelofte Kerk in Pietermaritzburg.

It was struck in Sterling Silver and weighs 16.9 grams and is 32 mm in diameter.

 It is in beautiful proof-like condition.
