Gemini were Karin and Anders Glenmark. The 19 tracks on this compilation are mainly taken from the 2 albums they released in the mid-80's that were partly written and produced by Bjorn and Benny of ABBA.
Some tracks are in Swedish, although the bulk of this compilation is English. Of note are their versions of "Just Like That" (the elusive ABBA track that has still not appeared anywhere in complete form although rumours abound that a final version was recorded prior to The Day Before You Came), "Slowly" (originally given to Frida for her second English solo album "Shine") and "Another You, Another Me" (most recently recorded by H & Claire on their solo album after Steps broke up).
Gemini provided the outlet for the new Andersson & Ulvaeus compositions after ABBA and Chess with two albums, "Gemini"in 1985 and "Gemenisms"in 1987. This compilation includes some of the Bjorn & Benny compositions but, sadly not all. However, as neither of the '80's Gemini albums are currently available this is the best of whats around and Karen and Anders Glenmark can certainly sing.The highlights are "Slowly","T.L.C","Have Mercy","Im A Bitch When I See Red","Too Much Love Is Wasted","I Am The Universe" "Another You Another Me" and "Just Like That"..all the Bjorn & Benny songs infact.
New to this compilation is newly-recorded Swedish version of "Too Much Love Is Wasted".
BUT
The highlight of this release is the inclussion of "When I Close My Eyes", a song written by Bjorn & Benny back in '85 but not included on the first Gemini album. This is the first official appearance of this song. This track alone makes the purchase of this album a must for any Abba fan. Also present is the rare track "Copy Love", another B & B song.
BB behind a title denotes that it was written by Bjorn and Benny. S denotes a song sung in Swedish.
