General Smuts` Speech at Bloemfontein - November 3, 1939

This is the great unifying speech General Jan Smuts gave at Bloemfontein where he made the case for entering WWII on the side of the Allies and against Nazi Germany, much to the dismay of many South Africans.

With the speech, General Smuts achieved what few thought he would - a mostly unified South Africa who accepted the premise of his actions and subsequent speech, and putting South Africa onto a war footing.
