A Cased Set of 12 Silver Medals Depicting Generals of the Anglo-Boer War. Designed by Palliari and produced by the South African Historical Mint in 1977.
Proof silver (SAHM sterling silver hallmark on edge) with frosted designs and mirror-like fields.. Minimum Diameter 45 mm. Minimum Mass 40 gm. Each medal is inside a clear hard-plastic capsule and they come in the original oblong blue leather case from the SA Historical Mint. There is a certificate of authenticity stating that this set is number 452 of a maximum of 5,000 sets.
There are seven generals from the Boer side and five generals from the British side all with the same reverse.
