Generals of the Anglo-Boer War: Sterling Silver Medal Set

This set of 12 sterling silver medals was issued by the South African Historical Mint in 1977. Each medal weighs 40 grams and is 45 mm in diameter. The medals come inside an oblong blue leatherrete case for two rows of six medals per row lined with silk and blue velvet.

In gilded letters on the outside of the lid: "SOUTH AFRICAN HISTORICAL MINT / GENERALS OF THE ANGLO-BOERWAR" and similarly on the inside without the logo. The lid shows some press marks.
