This is a generic battery - not an original. In certain cameras, the camera may warn user that the battery is not original - you simply need to accept it, and the battery will work. This high-performance battery is comparable quality to the original - however, due to chipping within Canon Cameras, this unit will not display power level indication and will NOT charge on the CANON charger. The battery will function perfectly in the camera.
If you do not have a generic charger for this battery, please order one of my generic chargers - they will charge both this generic battery and the original Canon battery.
