Description

The generic BG-E16 battery grip for Canon EOS 7D Mark II can be used as the battery box and vertical handle for use.
The grip can handle two LP-E6 batteries or six AA-size batteries (alkaline or Ni-MH).
The nice thing about Canon DSLRs without a built-in portrait/vertical grip (all non-1-Series bodies at this time) is that they are small and light. The big downside is that it is not comfortable to shoot in portrait/vertical orientation - especially for long periods of time.
Compatible with Canon EOS 7D Mark II only (Mark I uses the BG-E7 grip).

Includes storage for up to two LP-E6, or 6 "AA" batteries.
The use of 2 LP-E6 batteries doubles the amount of shooting time.
The Battery Grip has built-in camera control buttons for easier vertical shooting, including shutter release, AE/FE lock, AF on, and a Main Dial control wheel.

The design of the grip improves shooting in the vertical orientation and also provides an overall more ergonomic structure for holding the 7D Mark II. A second shutter release button, main dial, multi-controller, AF point selection button, AE/FE lock button, AF start button, and multi-function button are all integrated into the grip for improved and versatile handling.

NOTE: While the Canon 7DII is exceptionally well weather-sealed, this generic grip is not.

Package includes grip with a battery tray for 2x LP-E6 batteries and storage tray for 6x AA batteries - no batteries included.
