Also known as Gall Flower, bottle gentian's most unique feature are the closed, tubular, violet blue flower clusters that bloom in autumn. The blooms never fully open. .

Plant seeds in sun or part shade. Plant on soil surface or cover with just a dusting of soil in spring after danger of frost or in summer. Storing seeds in fridge for up 3 months before planting can aid germination.¿¿
