A Genuine Antique Victorian, brass, height adjustable, Corinthian column standard floor lamp, Gilt on metal (possibly brass) having cylindrical column rising from a fluted Corinthian column, stepped base with cast ball and clawed feet. c1880 (Shade included). It has been coverted to Electricity, but appears fittings for original oil container still present. Cord, plug and foot switch intact, but requires re-wiring. Generally excellent condition, a few surface scuffs, but no repairs or cracks to metal. Shade intact, vgc. Please note with the extending section on the column there is probably an additional 20-30 cm height, if required.

Upon research established details of value, quite surprising from an International view. See similar lamps and values from the web site listed below. (copy & paste).

Tall lamp, without the extending section, measures approximately 1.37 m tall without the shade. Add about 40 cm with shade. Base measures approx 39 x 39 cm ball and claw feet included. Heavy metal plate attached to base, making lamp quite heavy. Sorry not sure what a courier will cost. Delivery within the Durban area R350.
