Rhodolite is a Pink variety of the Red Garnet gemstone. It is found in rocks of alluvial and metamorphic. Common Rhodolite has a transparent rose color. It is mined in Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Kenya and in United States.
Interesting Facts about Rhodolite: Rhodolite garnet's meaning is believed to spread the aura of love. This is caused by a pink glow on the stone. Therefore this stone is used more as women's jewelry than men. Because the Rhodolite (rhodon) means “Rose” many people believe it’s referred to Rose flower where it will help people who are alone get a friend and make them joyful. The healing properties of Rhodolite garnet stone is also believed to be able to heal trauma. By laying this gem on the forehead during sleep can cause a beautiful dream and also eliminate anxiety.

Taking care of your Gemstone Jewellery:
Avoid prolonged exposure to strong heat, direct light or sudden temperature changes. Gemstones should not be exposed to acid, bleach or other harsh chemicals and cleaners. Do not use store-bought jewellery cleaners! Avoid the use of ultrasonic and steam cleaners.
The best way to clean gemstones is by using plain soapy water and a soft cloth. Be sure to rinse well to remove any soapy residue.
Always remove gemstones jewellery exercising, playing sports or when engaging in vigorous household chores such as dish-washing ;-)
Store gemstones away from other gemstones to avoid scratches. It is best to wrap stones using a soft cloth or place them inside a fabric-lined jewelry box.
