Table style in Rosewood with oak Quadrants and finials. Brass trims at corners of decorative palisades.

Dial and front FaceQuadrant decor is porcelain laid on copper. White and Blue

Hands are solid Brass, pierced for detail.

MOVEMENT:

Movement is brass plated with steel lantern pinions throughout.

Strike is hourly and ½ hourly and is controlled by butterfly to regulate speed and is counted on a rear mounted counting wheel.

Strike is on a pigtail gong.

The movement is spring-driven with anchor escapement and pendulum.

As far as can be ascertained Manufacture was in Holland by WINTERHALDER & HOFFMEIER in the mid to late 1800s.

This clock has not been modified or changed in anyway and is completely original.

The ceramic dial is original and is clear and vivid, Sight discolouration at top of dial and front quadrant decor is due to age.
