Genuine Vintage Yixing Brown Earthenware Teapot with Six cups and Saucers

Yixing pottery is hand made with brown clay. There is no glaze so that the earthenware can react with the tea to enhance the flavour.  This vintage teaset is in mint condition, in its original box. The teapot measures 8xm x 17cm and the cups 4cm x 7cm. Why are they so small? Read the quote below.

'The reason behind this is that the small amount of water allows the tea leaves to infuse quickly. This lets the taste of the tea become strong but not bitter. Leaving your tea leaves to brew too long will add bitterness to the taste. When you have a larger amount of water, you have to brew it longer.'

Please look at the Photos and other Items I have listed. Small items can be combined for economical mailing.

I use only SA Post Office or Aramex Couriers.
No Postnet or Paxi. No international orders.
