Geoffrey Mortimer (British 1895 - 1996) Oil on board circa 1928 in the original ornate frame

Please note I am selling this artwork way under market value as there is some wear to the painting which would require touch ups by a professional (See photo of the Horses nose) call it a 2cm line / scuff mark that would need touch up and a handful of minor spots of touch up

Some wear to the gold paint around the frame but that is easily touched up 

There is a handwritten note on the back of the artwork - on the paper and board with a signature at the bottom of the board - some paint splatters on the back - this is 100% an original 

I'm speaking completely under correction but gathering from the handwritten note this could have been a commissioned piece as a gift for this particular Aunt in 1928

The note Reads : "Painted by Mortimer Jan 1928 Auntie Hatliers present" 

Painting measures approx 24.7cm X 17cm

Frame measures approx 29.5cm X 21.5cm
