George Formby - Dallas E / 1247 Ukulele Banjo - Circa 1939 See description for details

This George Formby Banjo Ukulele is something that does not come onto the market very often (A highly collectable instrument). Total length is 590mm - Drum Diameter 260mm - Original Vellum on Drum - The George Formby Logo is inlaid.   I have had the bridge and strings professionally replaced at a cost of R800.00.  This Banjo Ukulele is in remarkable condition for it's age.  The Chrome around the drum does show some ageing and there is a minor surface crack between the tuning pegs.  This crack is only on the surface and does not go all the way through.(See Pictures)  There is some slight body rub evident on the woodwork. (Hard to see).
