Geranium caffrum Seeds

Cranesbill, Khoara

Geranium is a genus of 422 species of flowering annual, biennial, and perennial plants that are commonly known as the cranesbills. It is found throughout the temperate regions of the world and the mountains of the tropics, but mostly in the eastern part of the Mediterranean region. Geranium caffrum commonly known as Cranesbill or Khoara is a South African endemic species from the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Cape and Western Cape Provinces. This sprawling perennial is from the summer rainfall area. It has deeply lobed leaves. From spring to summer it bears beautiful white/pale pink flowers with darker pink markings. The seeds of this species are best sown in spring.
