The Bear Grills Compact II builds off of the original Compact Scout to make it the best-of-class back-up survival pocket knife produced by Gerber. Built in the USA, the more robust handle with rubber over-mold and a prominent finger coil offer solid application. With a fine edge 420HC steel blade, easily opened using the nail nick featured along the bevel edge, the Compact II folder is always in survival mode in the hands of its user. Finger jumping on the top of the blade and grippe rubber over-mold along with an ergonomic handle design means the Compact II won't slip in even the roughest conditions. Its lock-back mechanism keeps the knife safely open during use. This same lock-back structure allows for equally easy closure, even while wearing gloves.
