THE BUNDESWEHR IS THE GERMAN ARMY AND THE WORD LITERALLY MEANS "FEDERAL DEFENSE", FROM "bUND" FEDERATION AND "SICH WEHREN" TO DEFEND ONESELF. AFTER WW11 THE GERMAN ARMY WAS REBUILT AS A DEFENSIVE ARMY AND THIS UNIFORM WOULD HAVE BEEN WORN THEN.
IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH NO HOLES ARE TEARS, BUT IT IS EVIDENT THAT IT HAS BEEN WORN. I HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD THAT THIS A NETHERLANDS ARMY ISSUE JACKET SO AM NOW UNSURE.
