German 71/84 Mauser bayonet

Original bayonet dated 1888, although over-coated for reissue in WW1,
the ricasso is stamped "Kirschbaum Solingen" and
the year 88 can be made out on the back.

Re-issued in the early 1900's / WW1 era to the Schutztruppe of Deutsche Ost-Afrika,
hence the Sch D.O.A serial number.

Both bayonet and scabbard stamped DOA, but unfortunately not matching numbers.

Blade has been sharpened extensively and is in good, used condition. Please view all pictures.

*mailed via SA Post Office at R60 (at buyer's risk)
*or sent via Postnet counter to counter for R120
*or via Courier to street address (major centres only) for R180
