Traditional salt glazed stoneware jug with classic cobalt blue hand painted decoration and impressed mark to base. Creamy grey body with deep blue slip trailing in the Westerwald manner. Solid handle and pouring lip, typical of German utilitarian pottery. Decorative and collectible country style stoneware.
Impressed mark to base 3L.
Size approximately 30cm high, 22.5cm wide, 18cm deep.
Good vintage condition with age related wear and no visible cracks or repairs.
