Germany: 1972 Olympics Collection of 24 Silver 10-Mark Coins

There are 6 different designs and each were struck at four different German Mints indicated by the letters D, F, G and J.

Two of the designs look very similar but the first 4-coin series was mistakenly designed and issued with the inscription '20th Olympic Games IN GERMANY', but Olympic Games are always attributed to cities and not countries. The national Olympic committee of the German Democratic Republic complained, and a new coin with the inscription changed to 'IN MUNICH' was issued.

This 24-piece silver set consists of all the different designs and mintmarks. The box shows some age marks but the coins are in beautiful mint state condition showing some natural toning.
