GERTRUDE PAGE The Edge o' Beyond - Stories of Women in Colonial Africa (Rhodesia)

Edge O'Beyond is a godforsaken speck somewhere in Colonial Africa, book mostly about women.  Also made into 1919 film - Directed by Fred W. Durrant. Writing credits Irene Miller and Gertrude Page. Book was issued for circulation in India and colonies only.  Background of author: Gertrude and Alec moved to Africa two years after marriage and settled in Rhodesia. They struggled for the first few years, then Alec took on a post with a large company. After 10 years, they were able to acquire a 21,000-acre farm, along with 2000 cattle, which was 65 miles from the nearest town, and 25 miles from a railway.
