Cover reasonably clean and bright, with light edgewear. Light creasing to front and rear panels. Very light rubbing to crown and heel of spine. Spine sunned, with two tiny stains; spine creased, but not heavily so. A 20mm closed tear into hinge of rear panel. Lower corner of front panel creased, but all corner tips are still sharp. Couple of isolated spots of foxing, with adhesive tape and sticker damage on insides of cover. Previous owner inscriptions on fly leaf, with substantial foxing and age-toning. Prelims and final pages substantially foxed and age-toned. Edges of text block foxed. A very light ding to top edge, causing two tiny closed tears (2mm max) into top edges of prelims and introductory pages. Persistent foxing in lower margin for first 15 pages, thereafter occasional throughout. Light foxing on first photographic plate, the rest clean and bright. No highlighting or underlining, no annotations or marginalia. Complete text, binding secure: no loose or missing pages.
