2) Cassettes are less maintenance and require less cleaning, are less likely to get damaged and are largely repairable.

3) Achieving good analogue sound from a cassette is far LESS expensive than with vinyl. In other words my R2000.00 cassette player will easily outperform a vinyl player costing 5 times the price. It's only on expensive equipment that vinyl shines. 

4) Cassette players are less expensive to maintain at high standards, currently less than R500 per service/belts (Avg every 2 years)

5) Cassettes are highly collectable, while vinyl never stopped being produced, cassettes did. At the end of 2020 annual global cassette sales had doubled and the global trend continues, upwards, for the first time since the late 1980's.
