Please note:

These bulbs are pre-order items and are expected to be dispatched in the last week of August or the first week of September, weather permitting.
Our specialist growers carefully hold back stock until the bulbs have properly cured and are ready for immediate planting to ensure the best results in your garden.
In the unlikely event that a specific variety does not cure properly or is deemed non-viable by the farm, we will refund you for that portion of your order.

If you add pre-order items to your cart, your entire order will be held until those items are ready to ship. To receive in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing two separate orders.

Gladioli Dolce Vita: Embrace Garden Grandeur 🩷🌸

Unveil pure garden elegance with our exquisite Gladioli 'Dolce Vita'! 🌸 These aren't just flowers; they're a statement, a burst of joy, and the epitome of sophisticated charm for your South African garden.

Imagine your garden transformed by towering spires of ruffled petals, showcasing a magnificent blend of soft cream and vibrant pink. Each bloom is a miniature masterpiece, kissed with a yellow throat and edged with a delightful deep rose-pink. 'Dolce Vita' truly lives up to its name, bringing a taste of the sweet life right to your doorstep.

Why 'Dolce Vita' Gladioli Belong in Your Garden:

  • Breathtaking Colour: Revel in the stunning contrast of creamy blush and vibrant fuchsia edges. This unique colouring creates a visual feast, drawing admiring glances and sparking conversations.

  • Vertical Splendour: Add impressive height and structure to your flower beds. These stately beauties stand tall, creating a dramatic focal point that elevates your garden's design.

  • Long-Lasting Blooms: Enjoy weeks of glorious colour! 'Dolce Vita' produces multiple florets per stem, ensuring a continuous display of beauty throughout the warmer months.

  • Exceptional Cut Flowers: Bring the garden's joy indoors! Their robust stems and magnificent blooms make them ideal for creating show-stopping bouquets that infuse your home with natural elegance.

  • Pollinator Paradise: Watch as busy bees and butterflies flock to your garden, drawn by the vibrant colours and nectar-rich blooms. You'll feel a sense of pride as you contribute to your local ecosystem.

Effortless Beauty for Every South African Gardener:

Our 'Dolce Vita' Gladioli thrive in the South African climate, making them a superb choice for both seasoned gardeners and enthusiastic beginners.

  • Sunlight: Plant your corms in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. More sun means more magnificent blooms!

  • Soil: They prefer well-draining soil, rich in organic matter. Prepare your beds with compost to give them the best start.

  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during active growth and flowering. Water deeply, but avoid waterlogging. During our dry spells, regular watering is key to their success.

  • When to Plant: In South Africa, plant your Gladioli corms from late winter to early summer for a sensational display from late spring right through to autumn. Stagger your plantings every few weeks to enjoy continuous blooms!

  • Care: Support taller stems with stakes to prevent them from toppling over in strong winds. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms and maintain a tidy appearance.

Imagine the feeling of stepping into your garden, greeted by these magnificent floral towers. Picture yourself snipping a fresh bouquet, knowing you've created such beauty with your own hands. 'Dolce Vita' Gladioli don't just add colour; they add joy, pride, and a touch of luxury to your everyday life.

Position and soil
Gladioli look magnificent towards the back of a mixed perennial border. Groups of about 25 look best, although groups of 10 in single colours also make a bold statement. The soil should first be loosened to a depth of 20 cm. Hybrid gladioli like a compost-rich soil mix and need a full sun position to thrive. If they are planted where wind is a problem, they will need staking.

Further Care
Watering is very important and you must not allow the sub-soil to dry out. If you notice any harmful insects or fungal rust then you can treat it by spraying with an appropriate fungal spray.

For best results, feed with Hadeco Bulb Food.
