Your Simple Growing Guide:

  • Sunlight: Plant your corms in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of glorious South African sunshine each day. More sun means more magnificent blooms!

  • Soil: They adore well-drained soil. If your soil is a bit heavy, simply enrich it with some compost before planting. This ensures strong, healthy growth.

  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during our warmer, drier South African months. However, avoid waterlogging good drainage is key!

  • Planting Time: For a spectacular display in your South African garden, plant your 'Morning Gold' corms from late winter right through spring (typically from August to October). You'll be enjoying their golden glory by summer!

  • Support: As these beauties grow tall, consider staking them to provide extra support, especially in windy areas. This protects their stunning flower spikes.

Feel the pride as your garden comes alive with these radiant golden blooms. Experience the tranquility of a space filled with natural beauty and the joy of sharing homegrown flowers with loved ones. 'Morning Gold' Gladioli aren't just plants; they're an invitation to create unforgettable moments and an extension of your unique style.

Position and soil
Gladioli look magnificent towards the back of a mixed perennial border. Groups of about 25 look best, although groups of 10 in single colours also make a bold statement. The soil should first be loosened to a depth of 20 cm. Hybrid gladioli like a compost-rich soil mix and need a full sun position to thrive. If they are planted where wind is a problem, they will need staking.

Further Care
Watering is very important and you must not allow the sub-soil to dry out. If you notice any harmful insects or fungal rust then you can treat it by spraying with an appropriate fungal spray.

For best results, feed with Hadeco Bulb Food.
