Unveil Garden Grandeur: Exquisite Pink Gladioli 🌸

Transform your South African garden into a breathtaking display with our exquisite Pink Gladioli! Imagine vibrant spikes of delicate pink, a true spectacle that promises to captivate every eye. These aren't just flowers; they're an experience, designed to bring joy and elegance to your outdoor sanctuary.

Why Our Pink Gladioli Are a Must-Have:

  • Stunning Beauty: Each bloom boasts a delightful blend of soft pinks with charming yellow centres and ruffled edges, creating a dynamic visual feast. The picture truly captures their breathtaking allure!

  • A Statement of Elegance: Standing tall and proud, these gladioli add a touch of sophistication to any garden bed, border, or floral arrangement. They are the epitome of grace.

  • Effortless Charm: Experience the immense satisfaction of growing these magnificent flowers. They are surprisingly simple to care for, rewarding you with abundant blooms.

Cultivate Your Own Garden Masterpiece:

Bringing these beauties to life is wonderfully straightforward, even for novice gardeners. Here's how to ensure your Pink Gladioli thrive in the South African climate:

  • When to Plant: Get ready to plant your corms from late winter right through to late spring (August to November in South Africa). This staggered planting allows for a continuous show of colour throughout the warmer months.

  • Sun-Kissed Blooms: Gladioli absolutely adore the sun! Choose a spot in your garden that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. This promotes strong stems and abundant flowers.

  • The Perfect Soil: They flourish in well-draining soil that's rich in organic matter. If your soil is heavy clay, simply add compost or well-rotted manure to improve drainage and fertility.

  • Thirsty? Just Right: While establishing, water deeply and regularly, especially during dry spells. Once mature, moderate watering is key; avoid waterlogging. Feel the soil if the top inch is dry, it's time for a drink.

  • Feeding for Flourish: For truly spectacular blooms, feed your gladioli with a balanced fertiliser every few weeks once the flower spikes begin to emerge. This gives them the extra boost they need!

  • Protection from Wind: Taller varieties might appreciate some staking, especially in windy areas, to prevent their magnificent spikes from toppling over.

Feel the Joy of Your Own Floral Symphony:

Picture yourself strolling through your garden, surrounded by these magnificent pink giants. Feel a sense of pride as friends and family marvel at your vibrant display. These gladioli don't just beautify your space; they elevate your mood, bringing a touch of tranquil beauty and immense satisfaction. Imagine the delight of cutting your own fresh, homegrown blooms to adorn your home!

Position and soil
Gladioli look magnificent towards the back of a mixed perennial border. Groups of about 25 look best, although groups of 10 in single colours also make a bold statement. The soil should first be loosened to a depth of 20 cm. Hybrid gladioli like a compost-rich soil mix and need a full sun position to thrive. If they are planted where wind is a problem, they will need staking.

Further Care
Watering is very important and you must not allow the sub-soil to dry out. If you notice any harmful insects or fungal rust then you can treat it by spraying with an appropriate fungal spray.
