Simple Care for Spectacular Results:

Gladioli are wonderfully adaptable and easy to grow, making them a fantastic choice for both seasoned gardeners and beginners alike.

  • Sunlight: 'Pink Lady' loves the sun! Plant your corms in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to encourage robust growth and abundant blooms.

  • Soil: They prefer well-draining soil. Enrich your garden beds with some compost before planting to provide essential nutrients and improve drainage.

  • Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry spells and as the flower spikes emerge. Avoid waterlogging.

  • Planting: For a continuous display of colour throughout our South African summer, consider staggered planting every few weeks from late winter into early summer. You can plant them from August right through to December for blooms from November to April.

  • Support: As the elegant flower spikes grow tall, they may benefit from staking, especially in windy areas, to keep those magnificent blooms upright and proud.

Imagine the pride you'll feel as friends and family compliment your stunning garden, filled with these glorious 'Pink Lady' Gladioli. You'll relish the feeling of creating a truly beautiful space that reflects your passion for gardening. Add this showstopper to your collection!

Position and soil
Gladioli look magnificent towards the back of a mixed perennial border. Groups of about 25 look best, although groups of 10 in single colours also make a bold statement. The soil should first be loosened to a depth of 20 cm. Hybrid gladioli like a compost-rich soil mix and need a full sun position to thrive. If they are planted where wind is a problem, they will need staking.

Further Care
Watering is very important and you must not allow the sub-soil to dry out. If you notice any harmful insects or fungal rust then you can treat it by spraying with an appropriate fungal spray.
