🌿 Simple Care for Stunning Blooms:
Sun-Kissed & Happy: Gladioli thrive in full sun, so choose a spot in your garden that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. This ensures vibrant blooms and strong, healthy growth.
Well-Drained Wonder: For optimal health, plant your corms in well-draining soil. A sandy loam enriched with compost is ideal, providing the perfect foundation for these magnificent flowers. Avoid waterlogged conditions to prevent rot.
Thirsty Blooms: During the active growing season, especially in our warmer months, keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. A good, deep watering a few times a week, depending on rainfall and heat, will keep your gladioli flourishing.
Support for Stately Spikes: As the flower spikes emerge, consider providing stakes, especially in wind-prone areas, to support their impressive height and prevent them from bending.
Feel the joy and pride as your garden comes alive with these spectacular 'Purple Blue' Gladioli. Create stunning floral arrangements that will be the envy of your friends and family, or simply revel in the beauty they bring to your outdoor sanctuary.

Position and soil
Gladioli look magnificent towards the back of a mixed perennial border. Groups of about 25 look best, although groups of 10 in single colours also make a bold statement. The soil should first be loosened to a depth of 20 cm. Hybrid gladioli like a compost-rich soil mix and need a full sun position to thrive. If they are planted where wind is a problem, they will need staking.
Further Care
Watering is very important and you must not allow the sub-soil to dry out. If you notice any harmful insects or fungal rust then you can treat it by spraying with an appropriate fungal spray.
