Gladiolus dalenii 25 seeds (indigenous)

Often described as the easiest of the species gladiolus to grow, this summer growing, winter dormant

species really is as easy as the literature says. It will grow perfectly on just summer rainfall, and will also

flourish in regularly watered gardens. This vigorous species requires full sun, although half sun / half shade

will also suit. It is a tall species, up to 1.5m high, requires well drained soil and preferably a dry winter rest. It is suited

to garden culture and not for pots. Ideal as fillers in garden beds, along driveways, in wildflower gardens, areas

which dont require much care. Multiplies to form handsome clumps, which should be lifted and divided approximately

every 5 years.
