This F1 hybrid gloxinia is the earliest single-flowering series on the market.  Gloxinia Avanti is recommended for 10-12 cm pot production.

Gloxinia is part of the Sinningia genus and its scientific name is Sinningia speciosa. The speciosa part of this plant's botanical name means 'showy'.

This plant has oval soft hairy light green leaves and flowers with large trumpets in reds, purples spots and stripes of cream or white all on separate plants.  Gloxinia is normally fairly low maintenance and can thus be quite easy to grow - only a basic level of care is required throughout the year to ensure it thrives. Being aware of the basic growing conditions this plant likes (soil, sun and water) will result in a strong and vibrant plant.
