Reliable Long-Range Wireless Transmission
The SkyTalk Air 5S uses a dual-antenna design, combining a built-in FPC antenna with frequency hopping technology to maintain stable wireless communication and reduce signal interference.
The system supports a wireless transmission range of up to 500 m under optimal conditions, enabling reliable communication across large venues, film sets, or outdoor production locations, even when obstacles or movement are present.
Flexible Master and Group Control
Unlike traditional intercom systems, no headset is permanently assigned as the master unit. Any headset within the system can function as the master, allowing quick replacement if a unit is lost or damaged.
The SkyTalk Air platform supports up to five users in a single communication group and can also create two separate groups simultaneously, giving production teams flexibility when coordinating different departments or shooting locations.
Multiple Communication Modes
The system offers several communication options to suit different production needs:
Controls are integrated directly into the boom microphone. Users can rotate the microphone upward to mute, lower it to activate communication, tap the mute button to toggle mute, or hold the button to activate push-to-talk mode.
Lightweight and Comfortable Headset Design
Each headset features a single-ear design weighing only 207 g, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings while communicating with the team.
The headsets are equipped with memory-foam ear cushions wrapped in slow-rebound protein leather for comfort during long production sessions. Interchangeable ear pads allow users to select between foam or protein-leather options depending on comfort preferences and working conditions.
Long Battery Life with Charging Case
Each headset is powered by a 760mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 20 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. Batteries recharge in approximately 2 hours.
The included all-in-one carrying and charging case functions as both a protective storage solution and charging hub. It can charge up to eight batteries simultaneously, fully recharging them in approximately 5 hours, while built-in LED indicators display remaining battery levels.
Optional Wired Communication
For additional flexibility, each headset includes a 3.5mm audio jack, allowing users to switch to wired communication when required. This option can be useful during extended production sessions or in specialised setups where wired connections are preferred.
