The Pinstripe Calathea (Goeppertia ornata) is one of the most visually striking members of the prayer plant family. This tropical indoor perennial is famous for its large, dark green leaves decorated with thin, perfectly symmetrical pinkish-white stripes that look as if they were hand-painted.

Current Height: Approximately 20cm 30cm.

Scientific Name: Goeppertia ornata (formerly Calathea ornata).

Foliage: Deep green tops with vivid pinstripes and a rich, solid burgundy-purple underside.

Movement: Like all Calatheas, it exhibits nyctinasty, folding its leaves upward at night.

Care & Environment:

Light: Requires bright, filtered, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can bleach the pinstripe pattern.
