The MTT is a widely recognized coin due to it's popularity over the years and the iconic design that bears the date of the original coins it is based on, 1780. Due to the similarity in restrikes over the years and the lack of variation in them it is unknown when this coin was struck though it is confirmed to be within the last 100 years and has the correct dimensions and silver content of an official restrike. At some point this article was plated in 9ct Gold, a practice that has waxed and waned over the past 200 years.
