This is a beautifully struck 1988 Gold Reef City 1 Pond Commemorative Coin, featuring a likeness of Paul Kruger on the obverse and a giraffe standing on a rocky outcrop on the reverse. Issued by Gold Reef City in South Africa, this coin was part of a limited series produced to celebrate the countrys gold mining heritage and the historical Kruger coinage.
