Spawn orders have an approximate 1 week lead time...how cool is this?! We now carry stock of over 15 species of grain spawn. Please note that we only send spawn via courier on Mondays and Tuesdays (not applicable to collections or sending your own courier), to manage goods arriving prior to a weekend and so that it does not lie in a warehouse over a weekend. This is also due to our standard courier being Economy Service with The Courier Guy, and is 2-3 days from collection.

Pleurotus citrinopileatus grain spawn is supplied on Red Sorghum in a 2kg Polypropylene autoclave patch bag. Pleurotus is a genus of gilled mushrooms, which includes one of the most widely eaten mushrooms being Pleurotus ostreatus. Species of Pleurotus may be called Oyster Mushroom, Oyster Shelf, Tree Oyster and Straw Mushroom, and are some of the most commonly cultivated edible mushrooms in the world. In Japan, they are called Hiratake or Tamogitake.

Relative Humidity: 85-90%
Recommended substrate: barely or wheat straw
