Gorgeous Arita/Imari plate B30
Decorated in repetitive panels of flowers and a phoenix (This mythical bird represents fire, the sun, justice, obedience, fidelity) with a centre design of a home. The theme of the plate is beautifully set out.
The colours cobalt blue, oxide red (very traditional) combined with the other shades makes it exceptional
This plate was acquired in the seventies
The Makers mark in red and black reads: Bi jutsu = beautiful artwork and then Imari.
