Offered for sale is an attractive and vibrant Dutch ceramic wall plate or charger made by the famous PZH company Plateelbakkerij Zuid Holland in the Gouda district of the Netherlands in 1931. The plate is in the eye catching Victoria Royal pattern with a well balanced abstract motifs inspired by floral and plant forms. The plate is earthenware hand painted in a palette including black , brick red, pale cream, olive green , mauve , midnight blue and butternut. The reverse of the platter is glazed in a pale cream colour. The plate is 25cm wide slightly convex with an undulating rim. The back of the plate has hand painted marks including the manufacturers logo/cypher the famous "little house", the painters initial Z, Zuid Holland Gouda, the pattern name Victoria Royal , serial numbers which refer to the shape/form and pattern/decor name and the date mark which looks like a spear with 2 cross bars.
