This brollybox provides soft, even lighting. The light first bounces off the silver reflective surface and is then further diffused by the translucent front panel. This provides similar lighting to the expensive octagonal softboxes at a fraction of the cost.

Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any tungsten or flash light source.

Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and reduce light intensity more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a lightbox.

The Umbrella Box offers a lighting alternative to umbrellas and softboxes, with some of the light reflected from the box part and through the umbrella, to give you a soft, wrapping light unlike umbrella or softbox. Ideal for portrait photography, small group shots and product photography.

Easy to setup as a standard umbrella, and as convenient to use as a softbox. This umbrella softbox uses the same mounts as a regular umbrella so there is no need to change adapters. Large opening with elastic and zipper fit onto any strobe/flash.
