Graeme Smith was recently honored as being the first person in the world to achieve 100 test matches as captain. Some believe that it may never be repeated. The above montage is a collection of his history as a player, when he batted with one hand with the other broken, the toss in England, his first match, and when he made his double century. The beauty of this montage is evident but the historical value will in time multiply its value – below are some of the reasons for the value;
· There was only 100 of this montage produced due to the significance of the number ( it was featured on Super Sport on the first day of the Test Match between SA and Pakistan)
· He is the first person in the world to reach 100 test caps as captain and obviously being South African this will appeal to the South African Market
· Each picture is numbered ( thus the frames are numbered from 1-100) and this frame is numbered 100 of 100 - see picture below so the historical significance of the number multiplies its value!! You will be the only person in the world to have frame number 100 of a test captain that is the only person ever to reach 100 caps as captain. Any true collector will understand the significance!
· Each montage comes with a certificate of authenticity !!
· Each montage has been individually signed by Graeme Smith ( black permanent marker pen) this was done at a special function held in Sandton a picture of him signing is on the COA!!!
· The COA ( certificate of authenticity) comes with the frame and has a picture of Graeme signing it. It is stuck to the back of the frame and is original and in color.
· The piece is already framed and is about 1.3m by about 1m ( it would be the centre piece in any bar or man cave )
