Carbonaceous graphite (mineral remains of prehistoric plant life) was combined with smudge-resistant compounds under intense pressure. The mass then fused into expression of natures enduring simplicity you see before you. All their surfaces can draw and the graphite will resist smudging onto your hands. Batle envisions these objects as sculptures, as much as they are implements for inspiring your own vision.
